On this occasion, it's worth recalling the May edition of Rare Watches 2025 , which closed with an impressive total of over 21 million Swiss francs. The most expensive watch sold was the Richard Mille RM 27-01 "Rafael Nadal," which fetched over 1.2 million Swiss francs. Other gems included a gold Rolex Daytona "John Player Special," a rare Cartier Crash , and a charity Gerald Charles Maestro with an opaline dial.
In May, a staggering 92% of the watches were sold, with 44% exceeding estimates. The auction attracted new collectors from around the world, including younger generations.
If you own a unique watch and are considering selling it, now is the perfect time to contact Christie's and participate in the upcoming auction.
