In April 2025, Bulgari officially opened an expanded section of its jewelry factory in Valenza, Italy. This investment increased the facility's surface area from 14,000 m² to over 33,000 m², making it the world's largest single-brand jewelry production facility.
At the opening ceremony, Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin highlighted the importance of this investment for the future of luxury craftsmanship: “It is not just about scaling up production, but about realizing our vision for the future of luxury – integrating new crafts, education and sustainability.”
The Valenza factory, originally opened in 2017, employed 370 people. Currently, the workforce exceeds 1,100, with plans to employ over 1,600 people by 2029. As part of the expansion, the Scuola Bulgari was established—the brand's first public jewelry school, offering one-year educational programs for 80 students annually.
The new investment is in line with the strategy of LVMH, the owner of Bulgari, which invested €500 million in Italy in 2024, supporting the development of the luxury and crafts sectors.
