The Richemont Group – owner of brands such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Buccellati – recorded a 7% increase in jewelry sales in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025. This is further evidence of the strength of the luxury jewelry sector, which remains stable despite global economic challenges.
Richemont's strong performance is primarily due to the markets in Japan and Europe, as well as the continued interest in classic, timeless jewelry. Despite the slowdown in China and the US, overall jewelry sales remain very solid.
Richemont does not disclose sales figures for individual brands, but Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels have traditionally been among the best performing in the group.
