The House of Dior presented the Diorexquis collection, inspired by Christian Dior's passions: landscapes, delicate bouquets and magical couture galas.
As many as 163 unique jewels revealed their world at the Château de la Colle Noire, the designer's former residence in Provence.
The design is by Victoire de Castellane, who weaves the story of Maison Dior using extraordinary materials and techniques—from doublet opals to plique-à-jour enamel—creating miniature tableaus (in jewelry, the term means miniature paintings) encased within the jewelry.
The Diorexquis High Jewellery collection is like looking through a window into another world. Despite the wild colors and stunning combinations of techniques and arrangements, it is actually a nod to Château de la Colle Noire, where Monsieur Dior could find peace and quiet away from the madness of Paris.
The beauty of this collection is its blend of romanticism, eclecticism, and history… few art directors can boast such a recognizable, distinctive style.
